What is WSC?

The World Service Conference (WSC) is the annual business meeting of Debtors Anonymous. It is where General Service Representatives (GSRs), Intergroup Service Representatives (ISRs), and the General Service Board (GSB) Trustees gather to review the state of the D.A. Fellowship, work on topics like new D.A. literature, concepts and new outreach methods, and vote on important issues affecting D.A. All registered D.A. groups, including Intergroups, may send one representative to the WSC.

What is Fellowship Day

Fellowship Day events is a full day of workshops (on various topics) that are open to members of Debtors Anonymous and Debt-Anon (an any one instrested in joining).

Subcommittee Selections:

Please select your level of interest for each subcommittee:

Organize workshops (on 3-4 tracks with 3-4 simultaneous workshops), find speakers and moderators.


Manage Host Committee spending plan, work with various subcommittees on reimbursements and paying vendors.


Organize the talent show and dance, incorporating “local flavor” into the festivities. Get bids for the DJ/other vendors, create room and table decorations, order necessary equipment, and find a keynote speaker.


Ensure all tech needs are met for each event section


Name tags, and Lost and Found plan; and manage registration activities at the event; create the signage, print 12 step readings, create the registration package to hand out to delegates with list of local resources/events


Fundraise, promote FD, create tote bags w/logo and delegate gift (bookmark, magnet, etc.)


Develop a strategy to weave the inclusivity principles, as defined by DA’s inclusivity statement, into the WSC activities, assist people with special needs to moving around and finding their way


Order and manage snacks, coffee, music, puzzles/games, etc. for Hospitality Suite, and staff the Hospitality Suite


Organize the 4 pre-breakfast conscious contact sessions (Thurs-Sun); find session leaders


Organize the credential process that enables delegates to vote on motions. Purchase supplies, request tables and chairs, print credentialing forms and ensure forms are in the delegate binder


Recruit local volunteers to help with Hospitality and Fellowship Day


One HC member is delegate to ad hoc committee, where decisions are made between day 65 and 55 prior, applicants notified day 50 prior
